Primary Therapeutic Indications
- Respiratory System Diseases: Highly effective against bovine respiratory disease complex (shipping fever), Mycoplasma-induced pneumonia, and pleuropneumonia.
- Gastrointestinal Tract Infections: Manages acute enteric disorders, bacterial diarrhea, and colibacillosis.
- Secondary Bacterial Complications: Treats mixed bacterial infections following viral illness flare-ups.
- Target Species: Cattle, buffaloes, sheep, goats, camels, and pigs.
Standard Dosing & Administration
- Method: Administer via intramuscular (I/M), subcutaneous (S/C), or slow intravenous (I/V) injection routes.
- Base Dosage Guideline: 3 ml of Fortivir per 40 kg of animal body weight (equivalent to 7.5 mg/kg body weight) given as a single-dose treatment protocol.
- Retreatment Protocol: If clinical signs persist, a second application can be administered after 72 hours under direct professional assessment.
- Volume Limits Per Injection Site:
- Cattle, Buffalo, & Camels: Do not exceed 15 ml at a single injection site.
- Sheep, Goats, & Pigs: Do not exceed 5 ml at a single injection site.
